Prayer

Oh Idea,
I try to by Jolly.
I love you
with my wooden sides.
My flapping
cardboard mast. Roll
my name along, please,
with your
bearings. Merrily
I’ll climb back
into the Metal Caul.
I fear we’ve
hyphenated.
